As we know and hear from the sages, we are limitless, infinite Light, powerful beyond measure. And, we are loved beyond measure. Yet, the infinite power and potential of limitless infinite Light…an unbelievably powerful source that we have access to…combined with amnesia (i.e., not fully noticing and realizing the Presence of our True Nature in all moments) makes for feelings and experiences that may not reflect the Truth of our Being.

Come explore in a deeply safe, loving space, the pointing Jesus gives that I am the source of whatever experience is occurring within. During this hour, at whatever rate is appropriate for each of us, we gently invite ourselves to the realization that we are indeed the source of experience, and that this realization is infinitely good news, even if we still appear to suffer and resist this realization from time to time. Realization can occur in a nano-second by not judging ourselves, anyone else, the world, or the feeling(s) or experience. Rather, we welcome the realization that the feelings and experiences that appear to happen “to us” were actually in us first from an unremembered moment. Notably, we warmly embrace any resistance to realizing the accuracy of Jesus’s sharing this key information.

As we open and let the Light in, the Love and Light we have invested in beliefs and hidden desires to feel the feelings…to experience beliefs about ourselves…(such as the belief it is possible to be a victim and, hence, to feel the feelings of “victim”) so that the energy…the inner light…can be released from the beliefs. Noticing the holding (resistance to Love’s Presence) is deeply helpful!…for instant release of the inner light or eventual release of the inner light. Forgiving is a huge part of this process, as we may not consciously realize how much we need to forgive ourselves, but if we see holding onto grievances happening, we immediately know that there is an unhealed belief about ourselves we are still holding onto, and we may have projected this belief outside our self to protect the egoic nugget within. This program is intended to further strengthen the recognition that our True nature is pure, infinite, loving radiance, and we never left our True Home: Infinite Love.

Awakening Together’s Minister Preparation Program (MPP) begins with the free class, Introduction to the Minister Preparation Program.

This one day class will be available via Zoom on Saturday, May 10th from 10am-12pm ET and will be facilitated by Rev. Dianne Scott. You will receive a participant guide shortly after you register and can bring any questions to the Zoom class. 

Introduction to MPP  must be completed before you can be accepted into MPP.  You will have two weeks after this class to determine whether you would like to apply for MPP. The purpose of this class is to teach those who feel they may be interested in becoming an Awakening Together minister about Awakening Together, the Minister Preparation Program and the responsibilities of an Awakening Together minister.

If, after completing this class, you feel you want to become an Awakening Together minister, you may apply to join the Minister Preparation Program. In order to be accepted into MPP, you must be a member of Awakening Together. If you are not a member but you are interested in being an Awakening Together minister, you can learn about membership here.

If you would like to take MPP courses but are not interested in becoming an Awakening Together minister, you do not have to take the introductory course or be accepted into the MPP program, although those who wish to become a minister will have priority for available classes.

The Awakening Together Sanctuary will be closed from May 4–6, 2025, as our staff participates in an in-person Board of Trustees training in La Veta, Colorado.

TRUE DISCERNMENT

An 11-Week Course on Spiritual Discernment

We are excited to announce the first course in the MPP curriculum: True Discernment, begins Saturday, May 31st, from 10am-12pm ET, held live via Zoom.

True Discernment is an 11-week course that significantly enhances spiritual discernment. The purpose of True Discernment is to help participants become absolutely clear regarding:

• How ideas about self can hinder and help during the awakening process.
• How giving meaning produces both time and the sense of self.
• The usefulness of the following tools: journaling, contemplation, and spiritual aspirations.
• Inquiry practices that are helpful on the path of awakening.
• How inquiry practices expose false beliefs.
• A primary obstacle that can block the helpfulness of inquiry.
• The difference between dishonest and proper use of denial.
• Blocks to absolute love, natural compassion and guiding intuition.
• How to practice forgiveness, hear/intuit inner wisdom and allow the miracle of grace.
• The difference between analysis and inquiry, between beliefs and truth, and between purification and repression.

Class Schedule: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET ~ May 31st – August 16th

• There will be a holiday break — no class on July 5th.

Format: All classes are conducted live via Zoom.

Free Guy is a 2021 action film starring the ever-delightful Ryan Reynolds playing Guy (“Blue Shirt Guy”). Guy is an “NPC, ”a non-playable character in a video game, who realizes and lives his True Nature as Love.

It would be wonderful to have you with us for our movie watchers discussion group. Here’s how it works: Watch the film on your own, then tune in on the last Sunday in April to share your insights and hear the insights of others on the film Free Guy.

Witness Guy opening beyond his programming and becoming increasingly curious, filling with a deep sense of love and wonder, accompanied by an emerging awareness of something greater. He begins exercising the ability to choose something different than his programming… expanding…stepping outside the box…and, along the way, affecting not only himself, but everyone around him.

Themes such as the ages-old identity question, “What exactly am I?” “What is awareness?” “What is the phenomenal world?” and, “What is possible?” are explored.

As Guy fearlessly embarks on being his True Self (Love), and naturally extending love, he returns over and over to his programmed conditioning, yet still remembering something so powerful.

The film includes many more themes than mentioned here. It addresses what can happen when the creative impulse is transmuted through the egoic filter. Witness the innocent, yet painful, egoic-hunger for validation due to not remembering what we are already…which is already and always unimaginably whole, perfect, complete and inherently valuable.

Observe a being who longs to be seen and validated by the “bigger ego,” believing that this mixed-up kind of validation is where happiness “is.” The film is also a beautiful example of an innocent, yet ego-identified being becoming vicious when its personal kingdom feels threatened, which is a call for Love by a soul in who cherishes the egoic wish and is not yet interested in awakening to Oneness, our Divine nature. Witness how the ego listening being responds to life and how Love responds to life.
