This evening (or tomorrow morning):
Read NTI Matthew 10 (v17-20).

Tomorrow:
Review the following sentence at least 4 times during the day:

1. Watch the following 36-minute video, How to Deal with Strong Negative Emotions.
2. Answer these questions about the video:
   • How do I resist strong emotions? (Ways people resist emotions are listed in the video at 11:30-12:45.)
   • Describe my experience with the exercise that started at 13:25.
   • What insights did I have as I watched this video?

Day 19 Assignment

This evening (or tomorrow morning):

Read NTI Matthew 10 (v1-6) thru (v11-16).

Tomorrow:

Whenever you notice you are holding a thought that hurts you:

1. Ask yourself, “What do I want to teach myself? This or what God would have me learn?”
2. After feeling the answer to the previous question, allow yourself to surrender as you say: God is within, and it is from within that I am led.

Day 18 Assignment

This evening (or tomorrow morning):

1. Read NTI Matthew 9 in full.
2. Select an excerpt from the reading that inspires you and feels helpful toward your purpose.

Tomorrow:

Review your selected excerpt 3 times during the day.

1. Read NTI Matthew 8 in full.
2. Select an excerpt from the reading that inspires you and feels helpful toward your purpose.

Day 16 Assignment

Watch the following 10-minute video.

Tomorrow:

Pick an exercise from the previous week to do again.

Day 15 Assignment

This evening (or tomorrow morning):

1. Read NTI Matthew 7 (v12) through the end of the chapter.
2. Select an excerpt from the reading that inspires you and feels helpful towards your spiritual purpose.

Tomorrow:

Review the excerpt you selected at least 3 times throughout the day.

Day 14 Assignment

This evening (or tomorrow morning):

1. Read NTI Matthew 7 (v7,8) through (v9-11).
2. Consider the spiritual purpose that you wrote earlier in the week. With that in mind, write a prayer inspired by your purpose. If you are uncomfortable with prayer, write an intention instead.

Tomorrow:

Pray the prayer that you wrote at two different times during the day. If you wrote an intention, contemplate that intention at two different times. In either case, pick times when you can slow down and pray or contemplate with the heart, not times when you are rushed.

Day 13 Assignment

This evening (or tomorrow morning):

Read NTI Matthew 7 (v1-5) through (v6).

Tomorrow:

Practice this throughout the day: Each time you notice yourself judging someone, review your spiritual purpose. 

Sometime this weekend:
Throughout the 500 Days, you may complete the assignments under this heading at your convenience anytime during the weekend, which includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Watch the following 39-minute video, Fake Growth vs. Real Growth. Also, write a short paragraph that explains the difference between “fake growth” and “real growth.”

Day 12 Assignment

This evening (or tomorrow morning):

1. Read NTI Matthew 6 (v24) to the end of the chapter.
2. Select an excerpt from the reading that inspires you to ask for and follow guidance instead of following your own way of thinking.

Tomorrow:

Review the excerpt you selected 2-3 times during the day.

Day 11 Assignment

This evening (or tomorrow morning):

1. Read NTI Matthew 6 (v14, 15) through (v19-23).
2. Ask yourself, “What is my spiritual purpose?” It might help to ask, “Why am I willing to commit to 500 Days with NTI?” Write down the purpose that feels right to you as your current spiritual purpose.

Tomorrow:

Review your spiritual purpose 2-3 times during the day.
