500 Days Contemplating NTI ~ Up to Day 496

Revs. Joanne Schneider, Rhoda Makled, and Kelly Barber host the program on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 7:30 – 8:30 pm ET.

In this program, we engage in and discuss the 500 Days with NTI program designed by our founder and the scribe of The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament (NTI), Regina Dawn Akers. Regina developed this free self-study spiritual curriculum for people with very busy lives. If you don’t have a lot of available time, but you are serious about spiritual awakening, this may be the curriculum for you!

500 Days provides daily exercises that you can do as you work, socialize, clean house, do yard work, work out, play, etc. It’s a course that goes with you wherever you go!

Rev. Jacquelyn & Connie – Early Insights, “Embracing the Opportunity to Heal the Mind”, Parts 1-3

Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert and Connie Poole play Regina Dawn Akers’ Early Teaching videos and invite those in attendance to contemplate those teachings along with them.

Because these teachings are so helpful, Jacquelyn and Connie plan to slowly review them by playing one or two of them each week and contemplating them in a group format.

Heart Explorations: Embracing the Whole Show ~ 06-25-24

During our time together, we will explore what it takes to live from an open, undefended heart.  Naturally, any true exploration of living from the heart necessarily entails taking a deep and sustained look at what prevents us from keeping our hearts open.  Grounded in the knowledge that the essence of us, our true nature, is the very lovingness within us all, we will explore how to recognize and release egoic energies by cultivating open-hearted awareness practices which support us in directly experiencing our true Self.  By leaning into willingness, steeped in self-honesty, and with a consistent dash of courage, we endeavor to open to whatever life brings, as it brings it, that is, on life’s terms.  In so doing, we trust that everything – absolutely everything – is here for us to use for healing, for purification, and for learning to live from the heart.  We look forward to supporting each other in our individual explorations of how we truly embrace the entirety of this show we call life.

Rev. Michele Hojnacki guides a group of committed students through year 2 of Gentle Healing who want to make consistent, gentle progress toward genuine peace, joy, and love. This group meets weekly on Mondays at 5-7 pm ET/3-5 pm MT and all members are committed to specific assignments and practices between group meetings.

We’re excited to invite you to join us on a unique pilgrimage through the enchanting landscapes and sacred sites of New Mexico. This pilgrimage, led by the Sangha, will take you through historical towns, mesmerizing natural wonders, and places of spiritual significance.

📆 Itinerary Snapshot:

Day 0 (Sept 15): Start from La Veta, Colorado. Enjoy dinner and preliminary instructions at the retreat house.
Day 1 (Sept 16): Visit San Luis, the Shrine of the Stations of the Cross, and St. Francis of Assisi Mission Church. Stay at VRBO in Taos.
Day 2 (Sept 17): Explore Ghost Ranch, Plaza Blanca, and the Dar Al-Islam Mosque. Return to VRBO in Taos.
Day 3 (Sept 18): Relax at Ojo Caliente Hot Springs and enjoy free time in Taos Plaza. Stay at VRBO in Taos.
Day 4 (Sept 19): Visit Chimayo Sanctuary and Bandelier National Monument. Stay at The Lodge of Santa Fe.
Day 5 (Sept 20): Explore Santa Fe’s Loretto Chapel, Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis, Chapel of San Miguel, and Santa Fe Plaza. Stay at The Lodge of Santa Fe.
Day 6 (Sept 21): Visit Dwan Light Sanctuary in Las Vegas, NM. Return to La Veta.
Day 7 (Sept 22): Departure day, shuttle to Colorado Springs Airport.

Enlightened Leadership, Tao Te Ching ~ Ch. 37, part 1, 06-23-24

Awakening Together’s Vice President-Minister, Rev. Rhoda Makled, and Rev. David Hemphill share from the Tao as they contemplate its principles in order to fully embody them.

The Tao Te Ching (The Way), written by Lao-Tzu (Old Teacher), is a guide to enlightened leadership. While most people believe effective leadership lies in knowledge and power, the Tao teaches it lies in emptiness, stillness, and presence.

The pair are using three books including interpretations by Derek Lin, Wayne Wang, and Stephen Mitchell. And now they are excited to add Regina’s translation to their contemplations of the Tao and you are invited to join them each Sunday.

Contemplating Poetry Using Lectio Divina with Rev. Susan Telford ~ 06-23-24

Rev. Susan Telford guides us in learning the contemplative practice of Lectio Divina using poetry.

In each session, Rev. Susan reads a poem, drawing from a wide range of poets, including Rumi, Hafiz, David Whyte, Mary Oliver, John O’Donohue, and many others (including her own work), then guides participants through the four steps of Lectio Divina.

Susan shares that this direct practice is a beautiful way to connect with Inner Wisdom and obtain clarity.

*This was a special edition program in honor of our dear Rev. Glenn Ganaway. Glen was a regular attendee for the Lectio sessions and his spouse, Rev. Yolanda Mapes shared three of Glen’s favorite Rumi poems which were contemplated during this program.

Golf in the Kingdom was an enlightening 5-day retreat guided by Jacquelyn Eckert and Connie Poole. This one-of-a-kind retreat blended the wisdom of non-dual spirituality with the profound teachings of golf, drawing inspiration from “The Legend of Bagger Vance,” “Golf in the Kingdom,” and “Zen Golf.”

During this Reflections program retreat participants shared how the retreat helped them learn to let go of conscious control and tap into the flow state. They also shared on how they learned to navigate the mental game of golf with grace and ease.

It has been said that more than 50% of the members of an effective sangha are likely to awaken. The Sanskrit word, “sangha,” literally means community. Specifically, it refers to a community that is dedicated to spiritual awakening. The primary qualities of sangha are: Members genuinely live the spiritual teachings they study; they speak and teach from their own authentic experience; they support one another on the spiritual path. Awakening Together was designed by inner guidance to be a sangha rather than a guru-centered collective. At this retreat, you will learn how the sangha is its own teacher, and you will hone the skills that are important for each member of a highly effective sangha. Come, and learn how to genuinely support awakening, both for you and for your friends.

Retreat Schedule

The retreat will begin at 10am ET (8am MT) and end at 5pm ET (3pm MT) each day. A 2-hour lunch period will be provided beginning around 1pm ET (11am MT).
