A few people have reported having trouble rejoining Awakening Together. They filled out the form to rejoin, but did not receive the second email that allows people to complete the process of becoming a member.

If you did not receive the second email, please check your spam or junk folder.

If the email is not there, please contact us with your address and telephone number, and we will manually enter your name in the new member database.

If you have already received the second email and clicked the subscribe me button, you have completed the rejoin process. No further action is needed.

Why Do I Need to Rejoin?

People sometimes join churches, and then move on, but their name remains on the books as if they are an active member. In order to keep the member list updated with people who consider themselves Awakening Together members now, Awakening Together asks members to reconfirm their membership every third year.

Those who do not rejoin will be given another chance to rejoin in August. If they do not rejoin then, their name will be removed from the Awakening Together membership list. Of course, people may rejoin Awakening Together at any time from our website.

Our NTI Study Group schedule has changed to the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.

The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament (NTI) is a scribed interpretation of the New Testament that teaches oneness as the only truth and surrender as the practice that leads to spiritual enlightenment. NTI has been described as a loving approach to letting go of ego. It leads us to direct experience of truth by teaching us how to release the obstacles that block that experience.

Rev Gloria Wells will be facilitating the new book club which will begin meeting every 2nd and 4th Thursday night 9:00 – 10:00 pm EST in the Awakening Together Sanctuary starting June 9, 2016.

The purpose of Rupert’s book is to look clearly and simply at the nature of experience, without any attempt to change it. A series of contemplations lead us gently but directly to see that our essential nature is neither a body nor a mind. It is the conscious Presence that is aware of this current experience. As such it is nothing that can be experienced as an object and yet it is undeniably present. However, these contemplations go much further than this. As we take our stand knowingly as this conscious Presence that we always already are, and reconsider the objects of the body, mind and world, we find that they do not simply appear to this Presence, they appear within it. And further exploration reveals that they do not simply appear within this Presence but as this Presence. Finally we are led to see that it is in fact this very Presence itself that takes the shape of our experience from moment to moment whilst always remaining only itself. We see that our experience is and has only ever been one seamless totality with no separate entities or objects anywhere to be found.
