Reverend Jacquelyn Eckert spoke this morning in the Awakening Together Sanctuary. Her topic was “From Seeking to Abiding.”
It seems that the way in which many of us go about the spiritual journey mirrors the way we have learned to achieve in the world. The advice of the masters suggests this approach should be abandoned. Jacquelyn’s talk is a contemplation of the teaching that one should follow one’s true desire without grasping for enlightenment as a goal to be achieved.

Reverend Jay McCormick was our Minister this week. His topic: “The vision of Christ”
What is the most valuable thing in the world? Whatever part of it you look up on with love in your heart. The value lies in the sight of connection, the sight of innocence, within the mind of the seer and thus in all minds. When we desire to wake up into God, our sight becomes healed and we see past the form of our world and behold beauty and the Christ in everyone because we see it in our own seeming mind. When we transfer and extend love without any interference, we open the door of connection.

Jay McCormick was our minister this Sunday. His topic “Specialness is not the substitute for love”
Is love extended from the separate self or from the acknowledgement of union ? Jay discusses that the extension of love includes our brothers and sisters in equality and unity. “Making someone feel special” is the primary way that the ego practices love but that specialness stands on very shaky ground and only the being/is-ness of love can be experienced in true recognition of sameness, not difference. Lets explore how we can heal our minds together and join in love.

You may wonder how you can be at peace when, while you are in time, there is so much that must be done before the way to peace is open. Perhaps this seems impossible to you. But ask yourself if it is possible that God would have a plan for your salvation that does NOT work. Once you accept His plan as the one function that you would fulfill, there will be nothing else the Holy Spirit will not arrange for you, WITHOUT your effort.
He will go before you, making straight your path, and leaving in your way no stones to trip on, and no obstacles to bar your way. Nothing you need will be denied you. Not one seeming difficulty but will melt away before you reach it. You need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the only purpose that you would fulfill. As that was given you, so will its fulfillment be. God’s guarantee will hold against all obstacles, for it rests on certainty and not contingency. It rests on YOU. And what can be more certain than the Son of God?
