We are thrilled to have so many new wonderful programs in the sanctuary! With all the new programs being shared, we thought this would be a good time to remind us why our zoom meeting space is a Sanctuary. Below is a link to the Awakening Together Sanctuary Policy & Procedures.
In the policy, Procedures IV & V cover Sanctuary Etiquette. We’d like to point you to some specific points directly from the policy (please note this is an excerpt and not the full policy).
Procedure IV: The Sanctuary is a place to share and teach, to associate, extend love, inspire and be inspired. We invite everyone to participate in our Sanctuary, in our Online Discussion Forum, and in our classrooms and retreats with reverence, respect, kindness and discernment. Awakening Together has developed etiquette guidelines for participation in the Sanctuary, Forum, classrooms and retreats to promote the spirit of our intention. Consistent adherence to the rules helps to maintain an environment that encourages people to share openly. The etiquette guidelines are:
- Allow speakers and other participants to share without offering advice or “help.”
- Allowing everyone to walk their own path to inner seeing is the gift of our Assembly. Trusting that everyone is having exactly the experience they have chosen is living our values. By allowing speakers and participants to share without interference, advice, or help, we honor everyone’s path and trust the inherent truth within each of us.
- If a Sanctuary speaker invites participation, raise your hand. When the speaker turns the microphone over to you, share openly, with consideration and respect in accordance with Awakening Together’s core values.

Sanctuary Policy & Procedures
As we share and listen in the sanctuary, please remember, we allow everyone to be exactly where they are; at their own current level of spiritual awareness. We trust that everyone’s path is perfectly orchestrated for their own healing and their own path of awakening.
If you find yourself listening in the sanctuary, remember that you are listening for your own Inner Spiritual Wisdom. While you may find yourself hearing what is needed from what is being shared, what is shared is more like a catalyst. The insight comes from within you. The clarity comes from within you.
