In May, the Board of Directors elected its newest member, Glen Morton Ganaway. Members and friends will recognize Glen from his programs, The Mighty Companions (with his partner Yolanda) and Herein Lies the Peace of God (with co-host Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert).
The Board and leadership are thrilled to have him aboard and look forward to serving with him for his six-year term.
To learn more about Glen, review his bio below.
Glen considers himself a product of the Military Industrial Complex, The Deep South, and the Southern Baptist Church. Today he identifies as an Anarchist (the organization of society on the basis of voluntary cooperation, without political institutions or hierarchical government).
Born in Anchorage, Alaska to a deeply religious family and raised in the gated communities of Navy bases, Glen was always the odd one out. Glen had few friends growing up but learned quickly how to teach himself what he wanted to know. He double-lettered in Track and Gymnastics and was very involved in the school theater and choral groups. He was the Youth Minister until coming out as homosexual.
The 80s found Glen involved in sex, drugs, and rock & roll. Glen cleaned up in the 90s and joined the Radical Faeries, a Pagan Anarchistic group of Gender Queers. He moved to NYC to be with them and met the love of his life Yolanda, an East Village singer-songwriter and performance artist. Together they went to seminary and were ordained Interfaith ministers in 2011 & 2012 respectively. Thereafter, Glen acquired an Integral Mentor Certification and a BS in Healthcare Management.
Glen facilitates one of the longest-running ACIM groups in New York, meeting once a week for over twelve years. He also teaches in the Awakening Together Radio Sanctuary every Sunday. Before COVID, Glen, with his partner Yolanda, co-founded “Church w/2 Drink Minimum- A Trans-tastic Interfaith, Interspiritual, God-Optional Celebration of Life” in the NYC Cabaret Community, and currently at large by request.
Glen’s passions include Integral Mentoring, Anarchism, Permaculture, and Community Development. His next project is a 4.4 Acre Homestead in Vermont.

Awakening Together’s President-Minister, Jacquelyn Eckert, and Vice President-Minister, Rhoda Makled share from the Tao as they contemplate its principles in order to fully embody them.
Rev. Kate shares her experience, poetry, and life with us as she goes about the business of giving up her ideas about herself and the world on her journey toward purification and awakening. Rev. Kate shares with wisdom and humor and allows us a glimpse into the beautiful and sometimes messy blossoming of life examined with an eye on Truth.
Join us for our next Movie Watcher’s Group which will be facilitated by Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 8 pm ET/6 pm MT.

Michael DeForbes’ live meditations are on the 1st Wednesday of the month 9-9:30 pm ET and the 3rd Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 pm ET.
Rev. Michele Hojnacki guides a group of committed students through year 1 of Gentle Healing who want to make consistent, gentle progress toward genuine peace, joy, and love.
