Because these teachings are so helpful, Jacquelyn and Connie plan to slowly review them by playing one or two of them each week and contemplating them in a group format.

REMINDER: Sharing and Joining in the Sanctuary

Reminder: “…we teach/share (in the sanctuary) in order to strengthen our own individual connection to Inner Spiritual Wisdom.”

A Course in Miracles teaches that we strengthen the Voice of the Holy Spirit (Inner Spiritual Wisdom, Inner Guidance) by sharing it. Awakening Together interprets this to mean that as we share from our current level of spiritual awareness, greater spiritual awareness is realized from within. It is important to note that we do not share in order to create a teacher/student relationship; we share in order to strengthen our own individual connection to Inner Spiritual Wisdom. Everyone who shares for this purpose is invited to speak in our online Sanctuary.

If you find yourself sharing in the sanctuary, remember this sharing is to strengthen your own connection to Inner Spiritual Wisdom. As you share, you teach yourself what you most need to know and you strengthen your connection, trust, and faith in your own Inner Wisdom.

If you find yourself listening in the sanctuary, remember that you are listening for your own Inner Spiritual Wisdom. While you may find yourself hearing what is needed from what is being shared, what is shared is more like a catalyst. The insight comes from within you. The clarity comes from within you.

As we share and listen in the sanctuary, please remember, we allow everyone to be exactly where they are; at their own current level of spiritual awareness. We trust that everyone’s path is perfectly orchestrated for their own healing and their own path of awakening.

We are grateful for everyone who finds themselves in the sanctuary at Awakening Together. Thank you for paying attention to the only thing that each of us needs to pay attention to…our own Inner Teacher.

Join Joy Bedford for her brand new program “True Forgiveness” which will debut on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 8:30 pm ET/6:30 pm MT. This will be an ongoing hour-long program occurring on all Wednesdays of the month except the last Wednesday.

Joy Bedford explores what True Forgiveness is toward the realization that nothing is actually happening when our attention is tuned to and believing thoughts, feelings, emotions, stories, and perceptions that comprise the illusion. We will be using the book The Journey Home: The Obstacles to Peace in A Course in Miracles by Ken Wapnick, Ph.D.

Awakening Together is excited to announce that we have another great guest speaker joining us for Satsang in November. This month we are excited to be joined by Simone Anliker.

Simone shares her many gifts and practices in practical and loving terms. Her background with the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) as well as somatic healing techniques brings a unique blend of understanding trauma and integrating it with the Wisdom of NonDuality.

In 2017 Simone founded the Global Dyad Meditation Project, an online platform which provides Global Dyad Meditation to a worldwide audience. In her in-person and online program “Spiritual NVC”, Simone teaches the wisdom of trauma healing, the core of Nonviolent Communication and the Dyad Meditation as practical tools to realign with Divine Essence.

Simone is a NARM Trauma Master Practitioner, a Havening Techniques® Practitioner, a CNVC Certified Trainer for Nonviolent Communication, a ChakraDance Facilitator and Global Dyad Meditation Teacher. She has a master degree in law (LL.M.) and is the author of “The Power of Dyad Meditation – A New Way of Meditating in Times of Loneliness and Social Stress”. Simone trains internationally as a transformational and meditation coach.

Rev. Yolanda’s guest for the Sounds of Awakening program will be Namoli Brennet, dubbed, “Among the best folk-rock artists in the US” by the Tucson Weekly, singer/songwriter. Namoli Brennet has been touring the US and Europe for 12+ years. A 4-time Outmusic award nominee who was featured in the inaugural Trans 100 list, Brennet has self-released an astonishing 13 albums since her debut in 2002. Her music has been featured in The Advocate, on NPR, and in the Emmy-award-winning documentary Out In The Silence which details the struggle of a gay teen growing up in rural Pennsylvania. Brennet’s live performances spurn typical singer/songwriter fare, opting instead for incorporating loops, delays, keyboards, foot percussion, and vocal effects to create a one-woman soundscape. Pride.com included her performance in Las Cruces as “One of the most iconic pride performances of all time,” along with Nikki Minaj, Arianna Grande, and Tegan and Sara. An artist whose music has evolved, along with their gender, into something sophisticated, powerful, and moving that defies categorization.

Rev. Yolanda singer/songwriter/performance artist & interfaith minister, originally from Muscle Shoals, Alabama- The Hit Recording Capital of the World. She has been making music professionally for over 35 years, winning the NYC MAC Award twice and being inducted into both the NY Blues Hall of Fame and The GLBT Hall of Fame. Rev. Yolanda and her husband Rev. Glen Ganaway are the founders of the “spiritual happening” called Church With A 2 Drink Minimum. Rev. Yolanda is also a founding member of the NYC-based organization, Drag Story Hour NYC . New Gentle Healing Group Starts January 23rd at 5 pm ET

We have a brand new group starting Monday, January 23, 2023, for Gentle Healing Year 1. Your facilitator for this group will be Rev. Michele Hojnacki. This weekly class will meet in the Sanctuary on Mondays from 5-7 pm ET/3-5 pm MT.

The Gentle Healing Curriculum guides committed students to make consistent, gentle progress toward genuine peace, joy, and love. Everyone who is willing to make a commitment to healing/awakening is invited to join an online Gentle Healing group. The gentle healing group will be diving deep into the daily workbook lessons of A Course in Miracles, The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament (NTI), Michael Singer’s book Untethered Soul, Gina Lake’s book In the World but Not of It, and other teachings.

If you or anyone you know would enjoy participating in this free class then all you have to do is show up in the Sanctuary Monday, January 23rd at 5 pm ET. No sign-up is required. However, you will need to purchase your own copies of both A Course in Miracles (Foundation for Inner Peace Edition) and The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament (NTI).

Marisol will be actively diving deeper into self-acceptance. She will share her journey toward compassion and love within the human condition. This will be a practice of forgiveness, love, and trust as we all welcome the Light within together.

RDA Seven Steps Journal: Out of the Stillness ~ The Scales of Desire (Step One)

Have you ever wanted to see inside someone else’s mind and heart as they journeyed toward spiritual awakening? Have you ever wondered what obstacles they faced, what inquiries they used, or what insights they experienced? If so, this program is perfect for you. Each week, Regina Dawn Akers shares from her published journal, Out of the Stillness. It was written as a personal journal over 8½ years as she contemplated quotes from spiritual masters and practiced the insight she realized through contemplation. The quotes Regina contemplated were collected by Michael Langford and published in The Seven Steps to Awakening. Both books are used in this program.
