Holy Spirit, Inner Guide, My higher Self, The Truth of what I am,  help me today to give up the wanting the illusion to be the truth, help me to give up attack and recognizing attack as seeing someone’s interests as separate than my own…help me give up separation, the belief that “me, my, mine” is real and that I have to defend it… help me instead to remember that God’s will is the only will, that It’s true, all else is illusion. And in maintaining that illusion all I get is death and fear and weeping… and if I think that death will be the end of this, then let me remember that death is but an illusion. One illusion does not end another illusion.  Only the truth can end the illusion… help me to see the truth today, help me to be in peace…help me value peace more….amen.

Join Us For This Month’s Movie ~ “Hidden: A Life All For God”

Join us for our next Movie Watcher’s Group which will be facilitated by Sami Ross on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024, at 8 pm ET/6 pm MT.

Hidden: A Life All For God is a documentary about the Trappistine Sisters at Mount Saint Mary’s Abbey in Wrentham, MA. They lead simple consecrated lives of prayer as lived in the heart of the Church. This documentary offers a glimpse of their daily lives.

On the heels of the Pray without Ceasing retreat, this movie demonstrates what a calling to a life of prayer looks like through these women. When the external “form” is set aside—a genuine answer to the question “What do you truly want?” begins to emerge. The documentary explores clear and compelling themes, including the impact of silence and prayer, the relationship with God and community, and the journey of spiritual growth.

Reflecting on her experience, Sami shares: “ The valuable mind-watching aspect for me is to notice and acknowledge what is triggered in me around judgments of religion, church and lifestyle. I came to see that these sisters and I speak the same language using different terms.”

What Is Justice?

A contemplation excerpt:

Justice is the divine correction for injustice. And having read through this already a few times, I’ve given a kind of quick definition for what is injustice, and it comes from the end of paragraph one. It says, “the thought of separation would have been forever inconceivable.  And so that thought of separation IS injustice”…. And the next sentence, “Justice, like its opposite, is an interpretation. It is the one interpretation that leads to truth, and the opposite of the thought of separation as the thought of wholeness.” So justice is the thought of wholeness. …So starting out the reading again. Justice, the thought of wholeness, is the divine correction for injustice. So The thought of wholeness is the divine correction for the thought of separation.

Injustice, the thought of separation, is the basis for all the judgments of the world.

Correction has one answer to all this, and to the world that rests on this (and this part is in italics): “You but mistake interpretation for the truth. And you are wrong. But a mistake is not a sin, nor has reality been taken from its throne by your mistakes. God reigns forever, and His laws alone prevail upon you and upon the world. His Love remains the only thing there is. Fear is illusion, for you are like Him.”

In order to heal, it thus becomes essential for the teacher of God to let all his own mistakes be corrected.

I looked up in ACIM concordance for the use of the word magic to just remind myself. A couple of the things I found were:

  1. Magic is to place reliance on himself alone,
  2. And an attempt to substitute another will for Gods,
  3. And magic thoughts reflect the belief that we can be separate from God, or better off without him,
  4. And that we can succeed in opposing his (God’s) will.

Sangha Led Contemplation ~ Quotes 606 & 608 ~ 12-11-24

Please join us as we continue to contemplate Out of the Stillness & The Seven Steps to Awakening. This program is on Wednesdays, 3pm ET / 1pm MT (except for the first Wednesday of the month).

“Awakening Together was designed by inner guidance to be a sangha rather than a guru-centered collective.”

As we step into the vision of “The Sangha is the New Guru” we are learning how the sangha is its own teacher, and honing the skills that are important for each member of a highly effective sangha. We are teaching ourselves how to genuinely support awakening, for each of us and for the community.

The primary qualities of a sangha are:

  • Members genuinely live the spiritual teachings they study.
  • They speak and teach from their own authentic experience.
  • They support one another on the spiritual path.

During this program we are currently contemplating Out of the Stillness and The Seven Steps to Awakening as Regina had been contemplating during this time.

A new facilitator will also be assigned each week. The facilitator will be the one to facilitate the program during the following week. The facilitator will lead by reading the quotes, calling on participants who wish to share their contemplations and may also be the one to share contemplations. To be a facilitator you will need both books.

Any questions posed will be posed to the group and inner wisdom will be brought forth from the sangha in response. We invite anyone who feels called to join us as we step into the vision of a highly effective sangha.
