MOVING TO A NEW DAY & TIME: Living the Undefended Surrender Experiment

With humor, love, and open-hearted awareness Rhoda Makled is exploring her own take on the Surrender Experiment as coined by Michael Singer. Raw, authentic and faithfully she is uncovering the path to living in the undefended Heart.

Rhoda will dig into topics she is exploring in her life such as what it means to live the experiment of being surrendered. Feeling every feeling and seeing every thought she can, Rhoda will share the journey of studying, journaling, contemplating, being inspired by, and surrendering to Truth. Inspired by so many teachers including those here at Awakening Together, Rhoda will share her live contemplations and invites you to come and discuss your experience with your own surrender experiment. This undefended dialogue with Inner Wisdom is just one more way to observe as the self is undone–the intention being to leave space only for awareness of Awareness and release everything that covers Truth.

The second shift that needs to take place is the direct experiential realization that your true nature is PRIOR to ALL as Absolute Awareness. Billy employed the usual suspects Mooji, Rupert Spira, Nisargadatta Maharaj, and from a small paperback Know Yourself which is an explanation of Oneness of Being.

Personal Retreats at the Retreat House – A Testimonial

“In June of this year I was blessed with the opportunity to spend a couple of weeks at the Awakening Together retreat house in La Veta, Colorado. What a beautiful place!

It’s an ideal environment for a private retreat devoted to meditation, contemplation, study, spending time in nature or just sitting on the deck enjoying the magnificent scenery. The meditation room is well equipped with comfortable chairs and pillows, and the atmosphere is conducive for long periods of stillness and inner looking.

Dinner time was marked by the outstanding meals prepared by either Jane Marie or Pieter—who both really know their way around the kitchen—as well as the enlightening conversations we enjoyed each night.

I was also fortunate enough to spend some time with members of the Awakening Together community who were in La Veta, as well as spending an afternoon with Regina, which was sublime.

There’s much more that could be said about the retreat house and this area, however suffice to say that I love this place and have every intention of returning, hopefully soon.” Joe S.
